Judith Lynn Pasternak (1955- ) was born in Buffalo, NY, and has lived in the area all her life. She attended Buffalo public schools and has a Master's degree in Sociology from the State University of New York at Buffalo. She has taught sociology courses at the UB, and has led or participated in various writers' workshops over the past 15 years. She also has been a facilitator for support groups for people suffering from depression and other mental health issues including bereavement.
